Highgate House Jazz Afternoon Raises over £750
16 Jun 2009
Despite the weather, our annual afternoon of jazz raised £750 for CAN - a local charity supporting those affected by drugs, alcohol and homelessness in the Northamptonshire area.
Taking place in The Terrace Restaurant instead of on our front lawn, eighty guests were entertained by renowned local ensemble 'Wallpaper Jazz' while enjoying a delicious afternoon tea. During the afternoon, a charity raffle and auction raised additional funds, taking the grand total donated to £765.
Paul Williams, Cluster Manager for Highgate House and Woodside (our Warwickshire venue) was delighted with the amount raised, and expressed his thanks to the team for adapting to the challenging weather conditions so promptly and efficiently.
Andy Shaw, CAN's fundraising co-ordinator, sent a letter to Sundial to express his thanks, noting that 'everyone there seemed to have a very enjoyable time and this is obviously in large part due to the friendliness and efficiency of everyone at the venue', and adding that 'CAN is very proud and grateful to have your support'.
