Della joined Barnett Hill in 1993 from a varied horticultural background which started with training at Merrist Wood while working for nurseries.  She then moved into amenity horticulture working for a local authority before becoming Estate Manager for a therapeutic community for adolescents where her work won medals at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Since joining Barnett Hill and becoming Estate Manager she has extended and redesigned many areas of the gardens; particularly enjoying growing unusual and rare plants.  Della especially likes Mediterranean and tropical plants as well as exotic grasses and bamboos.

Outside of work Della enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures.  She also spends her time gardening (naturally), reading, eating out, seeing friends and 'occasional' yoga.
